The YIN: The Third Order of the Franciscans of the Eucharist (TOFE)
The YAN: The Third Order of Franciscan Friars of Immaculate (TOFI)

The Secular Third Order (SFO), now known as the Secular Franciscan Order, is part of local fraternities. Its members may wear religious habits, take religious vows, and do not live in community, but meet regularly in communion. They may be married, single, or members of the clergy. These fraternities were reorganized and renamed in 1978, with the approval of Pope Paul VI.
